White House Decries 'Democratic Fabrication' as Further Jeffrey Epstein Photos Made Public
House Democrats have published a additional set of what they described as "troubling" pictures from the estate of adjudicated sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, including among others Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, and ex-UK prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.
The initial drop of 19 photographs—a portion of which have been previously circulated—along with another 70 issued later on Friday account for a minuscule portion of the approximately 100,000 images released to the House investigative panel, which is examining the conduct and connections of Epstein.
The fallen money manager was a victim of an apparent self-inflicted death in a New York jail cell in 2019 after being charged with sex-trafficking charges.
Prominent Personalities in the Images
Featured among the prominent personalities visible in the first release are public figures such as movie maker Woody Allen; Microsoft creator Bill Gates; and Richard Branson, creator of the Virgin empire.
Donald Trump is featured in three of the initial 19 images. In one, he is seen with six women, whose faces are obscured.
White House Reaction
The White House reacted to the release in a statement, alleging Democrats of purposefully "cherry-picking" the photographs for political purposes and to "attempt to fabricate a false storyline."
"That partisan falsehood against President Trump has been consistently disproven," a presidential representative said, asserting that "the current government has achieved more for Epstein's victims than Democrats have ever done by repeatedly calling for disclosure, disclosing thousands of pages of documents, and urging additional probes into Epstein's liberal connections."
Congressional Democrat Comment
The photos were disclosed lacking captions, but as stated by a California Democrat and ranking member of the investigative panel, they raise more questions about Epstein's connections to affluent people.
"The moment has come to halt this White House concealment and bring justice to the victims of Jeffrey Epstein and his influential associates," he stated in a comment.
The release of these images comes as the House panel continuing its inquiry into the affair.
