Plane Transporting Pete Hegseth Required to Land in UK Due to Fracture in Cockpit Window
A plane transporting Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was forced to make an unscheduled landing in the UK on Wednesday following a fracture was found in the aircraft's cockpit window, according to an official announcement which confirmed that all passengers were secure.
"The aircraft landed in accordance with standard procedures and everyone onboard, among them Pete Hegseth, is secure," a press officer said in a online announcement.
He was traveling back from a quick journey to the Belgian capital during the flight.
This event is not the first time that a American defense plane carrying a top government figure has encountered technical problems.
In a previous incident this year, a United States Air Force aircraft ferrying Marco Rubio to the city in Germany was forced to turn back to the US capital after encountering a mechanical fault.
